These decorative surface mounting swaged poles are made out of mild steel tubes. Equipped with a foundation base plate and a bracket assembly for pole top, they provide a sturdy resistance against normal wear and tear dur to change in weather conditions. Swaged Pole Technical Features

Tolerances:

– The outsite diameter should not exceed by +1%
– The lower limit of thickness shall not exceed by 10%
– The overall length of any section shall not cross +40mm and +25mm for the pole.
– The weight tolerance limit is 7.5% for bulk supplies and 10% for single pole.
– The finished pole shall not be out of straightness by more 1/1600of its length.
– Based on the assumption that steel weights 7.85g/cm3 * Before making a selection of pole it is necessary to assume a suitable factor of safety has to be applied on the breaking load or the crippling load of the pole as the case may be depending on the relevant electricity rules to obtain the working load.
– Value of working load of the poles with a factor of safety of 2 on crippling load and a Factor 2.5 on breaking load are both given in tables 1&2 in Indian standard book. The user will have to calculate the working load if different actors of safety other then those stated above are applied.
– Length the tolerance of the length of section shall be follows : On the length of section + 40mm. On the overall length +10 mm.
– The mean weight for bulk supplied shall not be more than 5% below the calculated value the weight of any single pole shall not fall below the calculated weight more than 7.5%.
– Permissible tolerance on the tube thickness 10%.

Manufacturing Process:
Swaged poles are manufactured from E.R.W./Welded tubes of suitable lengths swaged & joined together. No circumferential joint is permitted in the individual tube lengths of the pole. The longitudinal welds shall be staggered at each swaged joint. The swaging process is done by using a Hydraulic Power Pack Unit. A circumferential weld shall be done at the upper end of the joint at a slope of approximately 45ยบ. Swaged Poles manufactured by us conform to IS 2713 (P-II)-1980 standard and with an option of customization as per customer drawings or requirements.

Earthing Arrangement: For earthing arrangement, a bolt of 10 mm diameter is welded on each pole at a height of 300 mm above the planting depth or can be customized/adjusted per the customer’s requirement.

Quality Control: We are an ISO-certified company. We follow the best manufacturing practices as per the guidelines of the certifications. We follow strict quality control right from the raw material procurement process to the final stage. The outside diameter, thickness, length of sections, and length of the pole everything is CNC controlled to match technical specifications.

Advantage: Steel tubular Swaged Poles are the most efficient and economical source for carrying overhead transmission and distribution lines. Owing to their circular cross-section shape, these poles fare better against torsional stresses. Their cylindrical surface offers minimum wind resistance and due to their elasticity, they absorb all types of shocks, thrust lines breakage, etc. due to natural and human causes. Swaged poles are lightweight, which permits easy handling, transportation, low-depth erection, and lower maintenance cost.
